Worship through the arts is very important at Bethany. We strive for excellence in music, drama, multi-media and preaching ministries every Sunday. Since our desire is to be creative and innovative in our worship services, every service is a little different. We currently have two service styles.   Our morning worship  service is a blended service as we incorporate the best of contemporary music with the time honored and loved hymns of the past. Above all, we want to encourage a lifestyle of worship and glorify God through our corporate worship.

Bethany’s Music program provides many opportunities for our members and friends to be actively involved in both vocal and instrumental ministries.   All of our ministries have room for more believers to participate.  We welcome new faces and ideas!

Adult Choir- This 30-40 voice ensemble meets Thursday evenings at 7pm.  We combine our rehearsal time with a time of praise and prayer.  The choir sings a special number and leads in worship during the 11:00 am worship service.  The adult choir also presents two full music/drama presentations during the year, one at Christmas time and one in the spring.

Praise Band- Our band provides the music for our 11am worship service.  A praise team of singers is utilized in some services as well.  We rehearse Thursday evenings at 6:15pm.  This group is an integral part of our Sunday worship.

Drama- Our drama team presents relevant sketches during our Sunday morning services.  They also work along with the choir during the concert seasons and are looking into working on more large-scale dramatic works.

Special Music- Each week a different musician presents a song to the Lord.  Solos, duets, and ensembles are encouraged as are a variety of styles.

Special Ensembles- Our Ladies Ensemble and Men’s Quartet are active in our music ministry.  These groups have also sung at nursing homes and other churches for special functions.

Concerts- In addition to the choir concerts, we have quarterly “Special Music Nights”, Special Guest Artists, and a Thanksgiving Eve Praise and Worship Service.  All of these are designed to refocus our worship on our Lord and Savior.

Children’s Music- We are currently looking for a volunteer children’s choir director to establish a consistent ministry in this area.  The children are led in singing during Sunday School and Junior Church and occasionally sing during the worship service.  The children also put on a Christmas program every year on a Sunday evening in December.

Fine Arts Academy- Since we are concerned with training our youth to serve through music, Bethany Baptist Church has instituted the Fine Arts Academy. The Fine Arts Academy trains beginning through advanced instrumental and vocal students through quality, low-cost individual lessons.
